Bidule (/bidyl/) which literally means thingummy in French is, according to dictionaries, something unspecified whose name is either forgotten or not known. Well… that pretty much sums up what Bidules is. Boxes of glasses nobody had ever heard of, discovered in the cellar of the optician who was the bidulism’s great-grandpa. Forgotten brands, dust smell, bruises, but a style out of time. Since then, they’ve made more and more discoveries, they’ve been looking for other lost souls across Europe and Bidules has grown.
The Bidules team restores and customizes glasses left behind for the 40 last years, and offer capsules of genuine glasses as new. By selecting carefully their retailers and partners they have chosen the sustainability path through each step and processes. Each collaboration is based on a mutual trust as well as a shared desire to offer a unique experience in a world that knows no time.
Here's a serie of street photography hi-lightning perfect anonymous wearing Bidules for a moment. Shot in collaboration with Laetitia de Montalembert. Certified make-up free!
Shot with my Yashica T4 or Mamiya 7 II + 43 mm lens. I used Kodak Portra 160 & 400.
